Bree Likes Books

Disclaimers & disclosures: I update randomly. Sometimes I rate books, sometimes I don't. I read lots of books written by my friends, but I usually mark them as such. I like peanut butter.  I only finish books I enjoy, and I don't usually post about books I don't finish. Jeremy Renner needs to call me.  I write under the pennames Moira Rogers & Kit Rocha.

Divergent - Veronica Roth Insurgent - Veronica Roth Ghost Planet - Sharon Lynn Fisher Restraint - Charlotte Stein Defying the Odds - Kele Moon Omens - Kelley Armstrong

Finally reading again!

When I'm stressed out, I have a hard time getting in to new books.  It's all about the emotional connection and how much I can spare falling in love with new imaginary people.  So I spent most of the summer rereading favorite comfort books, but I've finally slammed back out with a pretty good run over the last 10 days or so:

Omens by Kelley Armstrong: I have been waiting on this one for a while, even though I bought it on release day. Armstrong has been one of my favorites for years, and even though I was sad to leave the Otherworld, I love Cainsville. I should never have doubted, not for a second.

Ghost Planet by Sharon Lynn Fisher: An interesting SF romance with a unique twist. Not a very dirty book, on the whole, but still fun.

Divergent & Insurgent by Veronica Roth: I don't read a lot of YA, but when I do, it's usually dystopian. I love dystopian/post-apocalyptic books and these were no exception.  Thank god I waited until now, so I can read the third one soon!

Restraint by Charlotte Stein: A short, wicked little story with a dirty-talking heroine and a repressed, innocent hero. Cute.

Defying the Odds by Kele Moon: My current read. I've had this one on the TBR forever, but I was finally in the mood for a contemporary.  Big burly MMA fighter hero and a heroine rebuilding her life.  I fell for Wyatt 2 pages in or so, so I'm glad I saw today that the third book is his, and is coming out before too terribly long.

I really don't know what I'm doing...

SOMEONE GUIDE ME. *flail* *sob*

Close Enough to Touch (Hqn) - Victoria Dahl I loved the heroine of this book so hard. Defensive, cranky broken girls with intimacy issues FOR THE WIN. <3
Too Hot to Handle - Victoria Dahl This book was exactly what I needed. Adorkable heroine, grumpy hero, awesome snarly protective BFF and a lot of giggles. Also, an encouraging anti-spider agenda. LOVE!
